Domonic Barnes takes on the dual roles of “The Hawker/Specialist” when OBSP’s The Who’s Tommy comes to the Levoy Theatre’s stage.

Domonic Barnes is no stranger to the Cumberland County stage, with past credits including Sebastian in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Tom Collins in Rent and Horton in Seussical the Musical. In addition, Domonic has worked behind the scenes also having stage managed a number of shows at the Levoy. His performance in The Who’s Tommy is dedicated to his mom. He would like to thank everyone for the continued support of his involvement in the arts.

Having heard of the show but never looking it any further, Domonic is “having a blast exploring the show inside and out!”

He said, “I am absolutely in love with the music in the show! It’s difficult as a singer but so much fun to perform and bring to life! The vocal skills in this cast are not to be missed!”

When asked what he is most excited about with this upcoming OBSP production, Domonic shared, “I am most excited about the final product that will be presented on the beautiful Levoy stage! The integration of the technical aspects and the storytelling are vital to this show and I can’t wait to share it with an audience”

Ian McArdle is also ecstatic to be returning to The Levoy stage as a part of the 2017 Season. His stage credits include Stuart Dalrymple in Brigadoon, Scuttle in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Van in Dog Sees God, and was the recipient of the NJACT Perry Award for his portrayal of Eugene M. Jerome in Biloxi Blues. Ian wants to thank Bryan for the opportunity to take the stage again, his wonderful family, his loving girlfriend, his OBSP family, and God; Whom all things are possible.

Ian McArdle plays the role of “The Lover” in OBSP’s upcoming production of The Who’s Tommy coming to the Levoy stage.

Much like Domonic, Ian was not familiar with The Who’s Tommy before working on this production. His first experience with this music was at callbacks for this production. Ian shared,  “Of course, I’ve always been a big fan of The Who’s work, but had never experienced the show. When at callbacks, I remember learning the songs and thinking ‘Wow. These are SO catchy.’”

When asked what he is enjoying the most about this production, Ian said, “…the people. Here in South Jersey, the feeling of community is extremely strong and it is rather apparent in Tommy. Some of the best people you will ever meet are in this show, and I believe that in and of itself is worth the price of admission. Never mind the sheer Talent of the whole cast.”

Ian also shared, “I’m most excited to experience a new adventure. I’m very excited to work with Bryan for the first time, as well as work with some familiar faces. To me, this whole process is about enjoying the community of the show, and I want to thank each and every one of you for making this process truly special.”

You won’t want to miss Domonic Barnes and Ian McArdle when they return to the Levoy stage in OBSP’s stellar new production of The Who’s Tommy, opening February 10 and running through February 19.
