Inherit the Wind Sweeps onto the Levoy Theatre Stage

MILLVILLE, N.J. – The 2017 Off Broad Street Players season of Broadway at the beautiful, majestic Levoy Theatre in downtown Millville continues with the classic America drama Inherit the Wind, currently in rehearsal.

The musical runs from Nov. 3rd – Nov. 5th, 2017.

Presented by Levoy resident theatre company, the Off Broad Street Players, Inherit the Wind has been a classic on the stage, screen, and in the history books. The classic courtroom drama makes its debut.

Hank Chandless enjoys his own Levoy stage directorial debut leading a dynamic cast and creative team comprised of both Levoy veterans and welcomed newcomers.

Levoy favorites, Richard Curcio (of Hammonton), Catitlin DuBois (of Brookhaven, PA), and Philip Hopf (of Millville) return to the Levoy stage in this production, with Ray Proietti (of Columbus) making his Levy debut. The large cast of 25 features both veterans of the Levoy stage and welcomes local newcomers.

Written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee is a fictionalized account of the 1925 Scopes “Monkey” Trial, which resulted in John T. Scopes’ conviction for teaching Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution to a high school science class, contrary to a Tennessee state law.

The production team includes stage manager Rachael Smith, costume designer Shannon Sheridan, and lighting designer Ragan Hoffman.

Join the Levoy Theatre as this brings it to the stage one a fictionalization of one of America’s famous court cases.

Inherit the Wind opens Friday, November 3rd at 8 PM. Show Tickets cost $12-$22 (plus fees).
