Devon Allman to Paint the Town Blues on June 11

June XX, 2016, Millville, NJ – His hair color and mannerisms may resemble his father’s, but Devon Allman’s music is all his own. The son of music legend, Gregg Allman, Devon has worked hard to establish his own identity in the music industry – and has met with great success. The younger Allman will bring his unique style of the blues to The Levoy Theatre on Saturday, June 11. Opening for him will be singer songwriter, actress and musician, Dana Fuchs.

Early on in his career, Allman founded Honeytribe, a band that he both toured with and recorded two albums. Along the way, Allman contributed to music recorded by the Vargas Blues Band. He also played on the “A Song for My Father” compilation album, was a guest musician for The Allman Brothers Band, and played as part of the Royal Southern Brotherhood. He released his first solo album, “Turquoise,” as part of Ruf Records in 2013, followed by “Ragged & Dirty” last year. Millville’s Levoy Theatre is the third stop on Allman’s latest solo tour which runs through October.

Setting the stage for Allman will be Dana Fuchs, who promises to have you up and out of your seat with her mesmerizing voice and presence. Her sound is often compared to that of Janis Joplin. “Imagine a sultry, more emotive Janis Joplin, backed by a higher energy version of the late 60’s Rolling Stones,” said Stereophile Magazine. Fuchs is now on a world tour in support of her latest album, “Broken Down Acoustic Sessions,” released last year with Antler King Records.

Show starts at 8 PM and runs for 75 minutes with no intermission. Merchandise will be available for purchase and The Vaudeville Bar opens at 7 PM. The Levoy Theatre features wide range of concerts and theatrical performances year round. It features a 480-seat orchestra and 220-seat balcony and is located in the heart of historic Millville, NJ.
