One of the world’s most famous love stories, perhaps even one of the first romantic comedies, William Shakespeare makes his Levoy Theatre debut with A Midsummer Night’s Dream. When a feuding fairy King and Queen of the forest cross paths with four runaway lovers and a troupe of actors trying to rehearse a play, their disputes grows. The magical royal couple meddles with mortal lives leading to love triangles, mistaken identities, and transformations…anything can happen in a magical moonlit forest…
**PLEASE NOTE: All cast members MUST be available for the student matinee performance on Friday, October 8th, 2021 at 10 am.

AUDITION INFORMATION:
Please prepare a one-minute classical monologue in the style of the show. Please do NOT perform a monologue from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Be prepared to fill out a conflict sheet at auditions (be as specific as possible about conflicts.) Please make sure you can fully commit to the rehearsal and performance schedules before auditioning.
Walk-ins are always welcomed. This is a non-equity, non-paid production. All roles are available.
Rehearsals will begin mid-July. Rehearsals are typically held on Sundays from 2 pm – 6 pm, Mondays from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm, Wednesdays from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm, and Saturdays in the morning but will be scheduled to suit cast/staff availability. Tech week will run from Saturday, October 2nd through Thursday, October 7th, 2020. No absences will be accepted during tech week or performances. Not all performers will be asked to attend all rehearsals.
