Welcome to the 22nd Anniversary season of the Off Broad Street Players Theatre Company!
As the resident theatre company of the beautiful Levoy Theatre in Millville, our group is constantly discovering all of the things that will make our “product” better for our audiences. We are now pushing every button to make our group the best that we can be to ensure our audiences and subscribers know that THIS IS THE PLACE to spend their hard earned entertainment dollars. As we “came home” during our 2018 season, we are now ready to explore and discover works that are completely new to OBSP.
We look forward to producing works by Stephen Sondheim, ABBA and even Disney! It is our hope that you, our valued audience and subscriber, will continue to travel and discover along with us. Into the Woods
February 8th – 17th, 2019
In Sondheim & Lapine’s delightfully fractured fairy tale musical, a Baker and his Wife embark into the woods on a quest to reverse a curse laid on them by the Witch next door. Along the way they encounter an ambivalent Cinderella, an aggressive Red Riding Hood, a rebellious Rapunzel, a too-trusting Jack, and a couple of not-so-princely Princes. But when everyone’s wishes are granted, the consequences of their self-centered actions come to haunt them. Eventually they learn a moving life lesson about working together, the stories we tell our children, and the real meaning of “happily ever after.”
Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, Jr. – All-Kids Production!

Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, Jr. is a musical for the whole family to enjoy! When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach… and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by the Tony Award-winning team of Pasek and Paul (Dear Evan Hansen & The Greatest Showman) critics rave: James and the Giant Peach is a “masterpeach!”
Driving Miss Daisy
May 10th – 12th, 2019
Alfred Uhry’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Driving Miss Daisy, the inspiration for the Academy Award-winning film of the same name, tells the story of two unlikely friends. When 72 year old, Jewish and wealthy Miss Daisy drives her 1964 Chrysler into her neighbor’s yard, her son buys her a new car and hires a chauffeur, Hoke Colburn, an elderly black man. What begins as a troubled and hostile pairing, soon blossoms into a profound, life-altering friendship that transcends all societal boundaries placed between them. Driving Miss Daisy has become one of the most beloved American stories of the late twentieth century.

Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird
October 4th – 6th, 2019
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, To Kill A Mockingbird dramatizes one of the most enduring pieces of American literature. From a young age, Scout has enjoyed the privileges that come with being affluent and white in the racially segregated town of Maycomb, Alabama. When her father, a lawyer, takes on the task of defending a black man against a potential death sentence, Scout quickly learns that growing up means doing what is right, even when it comes at great cost.
Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins
