Welcome to our Rising Stars teen camps! Our teen performing arts camps are incredible opportunities for young talents aged 13-19 to shine and grow. We’re here to help them discover their artistic brilliance on the stage while having an unforgettable experience. Join us and watch as they unleash their full potential!
For those Ages 12-18, our ‘Bye Bye Birdie: Youth Edition‘ musical theatre camp transports teens to the vibrant world of ’50s rock & roll, while ‘Acting Elite,’ an intensive acting class for Ages 13-19, hones in on individual talents and fosters a deep understanding of the art of acting. Aspiring sound engineers aged 12-19 can fine-tune their skills in our ‘Sound of Engineering‘ camp, exploring the intricacies of speakers, mics, and mixers. In ‘Strum & Sing’ (Ages 9-13), budding musicians learn to play the ukulele and harmonize their vocals. Our ‘Creative Stage‘ camp (Ages 7-13) offers a diverse array of performing arts experiences, from claymation and sewing to dancing, bucket and cup percussion, paper doll costuming, and beyond. Join us at Rising Stars, where every camp is a unique journey of artistic exploration and growth.

Sound Engineering 101 is for teens interested in designing, troubleshooting and running a live sound system.
You will learn about sound theory, equipment including speakers, mixer consoles, microphones and cables, stage set up, using a mixer, troubleshooting and recording. As a result of this course you will be able to:

- Be an EQ Expert
- Run Monitors
- Use Master Compressors/Gates
- Troubleshoot Impossible Problems
- Design/Upgrade a System

This five day “camp” gives your child the opportunity to experience a number of different performing arts experiences. It’s a mix and match – pick the days your child is interested in, or come all five days!
This year’s theme is “Beach Fun”.
Monday: “Rhythmic Waves & Beach Ball Claymation”: Dive into the rhythm of the Beach Boys with our bucket drumming session and unleash your creativity in stop motion claymation inspired by the playful bounce of beach balls.
Tuesday: “Crafty Ocean Critters & Beach Beats”: Join us as we sew magnetic felt fish, bringing the underwater world to life, and then feel the burn with Cardio Drumming to the tunes of Footloose.
Wednesday: “Fashionable Beach Friends & Sea Shanty Beats”: Embark on a creative journey with paper doll costuming, transforming your dolls into beachside characters. Feel the ocean’s pulse with cup percussion, set to the rhythm of the popular sea shanty, Wellerman.
Thursday: “Island Glam & Hula Jam”: Discover the magic of the stage with stage makeup tutorials, create vibrant leis, and sway to the tropical rhythm with our Hula dance lessons, transforming into a beachside paradise performer.
Friday: “Dance Waves & Poseidon’s Mystery”: Groove to the beat with Mashed Potato & the Twist Dances, turning the beach into your dance floor, then channel your inner detective in the interactive mystery, ‘Who Stole Poseidon’s Trident,’ bringing a thrilling finale to our week of beach fun.
