Brianna Lund from Millville is a sophomore at Rowan University. She is currently pursuing a Public Relations major. No stranger to the stage, Brianna has been part of the ensemble in the past Off Broad Street Players productions of The King and I and Ragtime: The Musical. The last production she performed in was Jesus Christ Superstar with the Levoy Theatre Company. She is grateful to have gotten the opportunity to be a part of this production and wishes for everyone to enjoy this show.
This production of The Little Mermaid is based on the Disney film of the same name. Fans of the movie will recall with fondness the tale of Ariel, an adventurous young mermaid who’s got a thing for disobeying the rules and following her heart. Ariel’s fascination with the human world often leads her to the sea surface, a zone that’s designated as “off-limits” by her father Triton, the sea king. One day while sneaking to the surface, Ariel witnesses a shipwreck and rescues Prince Eric, with whom she become instantly smitten. Furious at Triton’s inability to understand her love for the prince, Ariel runs away and strikes a deal with Ursula, Triton’s evil witch of a sister, to experience the life she dreams of on land.
