Elf – the Musical

Book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin
Music by Matthew Sklar
Lyrics by Chad Beguelin
Based upon the New Line Cinema film written by David Berenbaum

Elf the Musical, based on the 2003 New Line Cinema hit starring Will Ferrell, is the charming tale of Buddy, a young orphan who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. Buddy is elf-raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, he embarks on a journey to New York City with dreams to find his birth father and discover his true identity. What’s an adopted elf to do when he realizes his father is on Santa’s ‘naughty’ list and his half-brother doesn’t believe that there is a Santa Claus? It’s up to Buddy to save Christmas! Find your inner ELF as the writers of Annie and The Wedding Singer bring us the unforgettable gift of a Broadway musical for the holiday season! After all, the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

ELF – THE MUSICAL is presented through special arrangements with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIShows.com

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

by William Shakespeare

One of the world’s most famous love stories, perhaps even one of the first romantic comedies, William Shakespeare makes his Levoy Theatre debut with A Midsummer Night’s Dream. When a feuding fairy King and Queen of the forest cross paths with four runaway lovers and a troupe of actors trying to rehearse a play, their disputes grows. The magical royal couple meddles with mortal lives leading to love triangles, mistaken identities and transformations… proving anything can happen in a magical moonlit forest.

Nathan runs a famous floating crap game, and an ongoing plot line involves his quest for a safe place for the game as Adelaide continues her quest to convince him to marry her. Pushed to the boiling point by their boss, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with their sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical boss. They conspire to take control of their company and learn there’s nothing they can’t do! Set in the late 1970s, 9 to 5: The Musical is a story of friendship and getting ahead in the Rolodex era. Outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic, 9 to 5: The Musical features music by the one and only Dolly Parton!
