Inherit The Wind:
Inherit the Wind is one of the most outstanding dramas of our time. This is the play is a fictionalized account of the 1925 Scopes “Monkey” Trial, which resulted in John T. Scopes’ conviction for teaching Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution to a high school science class, contrary to a Tennessee state law. This meaningful courtroom drama fictionalizes one of America’s famous court cases and brings it to the stage. Religion, science, and politics, and the struggles that exist within and between them is a constant conflict as we search for meaning in an increasingly complex world. Inherit the Wind is the story of a nation and its people as they struggle to come to grips with the forces of change. A classic on the stage, screen, and in the history books, Inherit the Wind will sweep you away!

The NJ Ballet’s Nutcracker:

The Nutcracker Ballet is based on the story “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice” written by E.T.A. Hoffman. Although what is seen on the stage today is different in detail from the original story, the basic plot remains the same; The story of a young German girl who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince and a fierce battle against a Mouse King with seven heads.

Nothing says “holiday magic” better than gathering up the family and spending an afternoon visiting with Clara and her amazing Nutcracker at the Levoy Theatre. For almost half a century, New Jersey Ballet has brought the cherished holiday tradition of Nutcracker to communities throughout the state. This first-rate traditional production never fails to enchant youngsters and grownups alike with splendid dancing, colorful costumes and scenery, eye-popping special effects, and a touch of holiday magic that inspires critics to applaud “a spectacle that never seems to age…magic that should go on and on,” and “One of the best…as good as it gets.”

Book and Lyrics by OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II
Based on the play “Green Grow the Lilacs” by Lynn RIggs
Original Dances by Agnes de Mille
Directed by Walter A. Webster

OKLAHOMA! is presented through special arrangement with R & H Theatricals: www.rnh.com.

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s first collaboration, Oklahoma!, set the standards of musical theatre forever. In a Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century, the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Laurey, an independent farmgirl, falls for a charming cowboy, Curly. When romance is threatened by a sinister farmhand, tension rises within the love triangle. Dreams — and nightmares — present themselves, but will the couple part ways forever or will they unite? Although the road to true love never runs smooth, love’s journey is as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road. With boot-stomping energy, Oklahoma! celebrates the vigor of America’s pioneering spirit.
