Boasting a score with chart topping songs ranging in style from pop to vaudeville and a book by a visionary playwright (John-Michael Tebelak) is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. A group of disciples help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life. Godspell JR. is a sensation that continues to touch audiences.

The NJ Ballet’s Nutcracker:

The Nutcracker Ballet is based on the story “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice” written by E.T.A. Hoffman. Although what is seen on the stage today is different in detail from the original story, the basic plot remains the same; The story of a young German girl who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince and a fierce battle against a Mouse King with seven heads.

Nothing says “holiday magic” better than gathering up the family and spending an afternoon visiting with Clara and her amazing Nutcracker at the Levoy Theatre. For almost half a century, New Jersey Ballet has brought the cherished holiday tradition of Nutcracker to communities throughout the state. This first-rate traditional production never fails to enchant youngsters and grownups alike with splendid dancing, colorful costumes and scenery, eye-popping special effects, and a touch of holiday magic that inspires critics to applaud “a spectacle that never seems to age…magic that should go on and on,” and “One of the best…as good as it gets.”
