It is our pleasure to spotlight Don Fransko, one of the stars of  OBSP’s upcoming production of Lerner & Loewe’s classic musical, Brigadoon.

Don Fransko, playing the role of Tommy Albright in Brigadoon,  remarks “I have loved the music of Brigadoon since I was a teenager. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to perform those special songs on the stage alongside a tremendous talent like Rachel Burghen.”

Hailing from Vineland, New Jersey, Fransko is no stranger to the local musical theatre scene. He has appeared in several productions across Southern NJ including Oklahoma!, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Evita, South Pacific, Hairspray, and The Music Man. This months marks 5 years of marriage to his wife, and fellow thespian, Katie. They live at home with three cats, a fish, and their sweet little daughter, Ellie, who has “flown through the terrible twos and is on the cusp of becoming a ‘Threenager’ early next year.”

He works as a Senior Regional Vice President of North American Senior Benefits, based near Atlanta, Ga. He enjoys playing guitar, fishing, golfing, and visiting New York City with his wife.

When asked about his feelings on the musical Brigadoon, Fransko expresses “The story of Brigadoon is enchanting and mystical, and at its surface piques one’s interest, but my favorite part is the underlying theme: Belief vs Cynicism. Optimism vs Pessimism. Expectancy vs Hopelessness. Of course, the former wins.”

Fransko is not-to-be-missed in OBSP’s fantastical production of Brigadoon, opening at the Levoy Theatre on November 11 and running through November 20.
