CUT International Short Film Festival – Day 2

The fifth annual festival will take place on September 18 -19 at the Levoy Theatre in Millville, New Jersey.

September 18th

Doors: 6:30 PM

Show: 7:30 – 8:30 pm 

 

This year’s festival will start off on 7:30 pm Friday evening, September 18, with the premiere of an ArtC Films documentary called ‘Watershed – The Story of CU Maurice River’. CU Maurice River was pivotal in the designation of the Maurice River as part of the National Wild & Scenic River System. CU Maurice River is dedicated to protecting the Maurice River Watershed’s natural integrity and cultural heritage. As South Jersey’s leading watershed organization, CU Maurice River engages in fieldwork, advocacy, research, and education initiatives generating and contributing to a greater understanding of local environment and wildlife. CU Maurice River’s work is accomplished through an extensive network of naturalists, field experts, citizen scientists, and volunteers.
 

September 19Th (2nd Day)

Show: 11 am – 7:30 pm

There will be screenings of short films from around the world throughout the day. The finale will be with the Cut Awards Show at 7 pm.

CUT was founded to celebrate storytelling in the medium of motion pictures but limited to     short stories. The short film, like the documentary, has become a great way for a larger group of people to tell their stories. Not reliant on huge budgets, or massive crews, a small group of talented creatives can craſt a tale of resonance and authenticity. Our goal is to celebrate those stories and give them a venue to shine.

“We created CUT because we wanted to have a high-end festival in New Jersey that promoted the democratization of motion picture making by celebrating short films,” explains Co-Founder and Festival Director Bill Horin.

Millville, New Jersey is centrally located, with easy access from all directions, just 30 minutes from the beach, only 45 minutes from Philadelphia, and just two hours south of New York City.
