ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - Madagascar KIDS
Natalie Wrigley
With 10 years of experience directing educational theatre, Natalie has had the privilege of working with young performers from preschool through high school, helping them build confidence, creativity, teamwork, and performance skills. She has directed productions including The Addams Family, Madagascar, Matilda, 13, The Miracle Worker, The Outsiders, Into the Woods, Almost, Maine, and many more. Natalie believes that theatre education is about more than putting on a show—it’s about giving students a place to discover their voices, build confidence, and create something truly special together.
In addition to directing, Natalie is a lifelong performer. Some of her favorite roles include Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray, Patty Di Marco in School of Rock, Marilyn Wald in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Fairy Godmother in Shrek, Trish in Bonnie & Clyde, and Patrice in 13. She is currently performing as Torrey in Freaky Friday, opening this fall at The Broadway Theatre of Pitman.
When she’s not directing or performing, Natalie is a middle school English and Social Studies teacher in South Jersey. She is passionate about bringing the creativity, collaboration, and confidence she loves about theatre into the classroom and encouraging her students to find their own voices both on and off the stage.
