Take a journey out of the zoo and onto the stage with your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends from the blockbuster DreamWorks film. Young performers will embark on a journey filled with creativity, imagination, and the joy of musical theatre. This program is designed to be the gateway for students to learn the ins and outs of theatre and serve as an introduction to putting on a musical. Through fun-filled rehearsals and expert guidance from our experienced instructors, children will learn valuable acting skills, singing techniques, and choreography in a safe learning environment, taking the skills learned in the classroom to the stage and allowing confidence to soar! Auditions for this class will take place on October 3rd, & Callbacks on October 8th.
Alex Manzo (Director) is so excited to be returning to the stage for Madagascar Kids! His time at the Levoy theatre has been nothing short of spectacular, and he is so excited to be a part of this super fun process! Some of his favorite credits include: Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Stage Manager/Asst. Director)- Levoy Theatre, Footloose Jr. (Assistant Director)- Gateway Playhouse, Fiddler on the Roof Jr. (Assistant Director)- Gateway Playhouse, and Cinderella (Set construction/Fly operation)- Levoy Theatre. Alex, being a part of the first Jr. production put on at the Levoy Theatre, is overjoyed to be a part of this full circle moment, and to bring some true fun and memorable moments to the stage!
